Joel Bauer is a gastrointestinal surgeon and Professor of Surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in NYC. Dr. Bauer has vast experience in open and laparoscopic gastrointestinal surgery, colorectal surgery and surgery for inflammatory bowel disease. Dr. Bauer also has considerable experience in recurrent abdomino-pelvic surgery secondary to complications of previous surgery.Many of these patients may also require abdominal wall reconstruction and complex abdominal wall hernia repair.
