What I Do As a consultation-liaison psychiatrist, I facilitate the care of patients with both active medical and psychiatric needs. In the hospital, I am able to help patients make sense of how physical illness may manifest neurologically or psychiatrically, and I help clarify when a psychiatric symptom may be due to a medical process, rather than a psychiatric issue. My clinical interests include perinatal psychiatry, substance use disorders, geriatric psychiatry, and neuropsychiatry. Why I Love My Work My work is truly a privilege. In being able to serve as an advocate and an educator, in addition to a clinician, I am able to fully realize the role of a physician.
