Slack Family Practice (SFP) is a direct access primary care practice in Harford County MD. SFP was created by Dr. Melanie Slack, a dedicated family medicine physician with over a decade of experience in primary care. Frustrated with her lack of availability for appointments and limited time with patients, she started a direct access primary care practice. Rather than a typical fee-for-service insurance based model, SFP offers a transparent annual membership fee. This allows the practice to stay small, and thus have more availability for appointments, flexibility with scheduling, and communication directly between physician and patient.
