Since 1999, Kansas City Urology & Oncology (KCUC) has been the leading provider of urology cancer care in the Kansas City area. In 2006, KCUC expanded its services to include radiation therapy. In 2023, KCUC is expanding to add Proton Therapy with the development of the Kansas City Proton Institute (KCPI). Proton Therapy is an advanced radiation treatment for cancer. It aims to eliminate cancer tumors while minimizing the risk of side-effects. At KCPI, patients will undergo Pencil Beam Scanning, a precise and sophisticated form of proton therapy.
