Dr. Robert Kraft joined Smoky Hill FMRP as an Associate Director in 2004. In 2010, Dr. Kraft received the Kansas Academy of Family Physician Exemplary Teaching Award in the full-time faculty category. This award recognizes family medicine faculty members in Kansas who have demonstrated exemplary teaching skills or have developed and implemented innovative new teaching models or programs. In 2018, he expanded his role to include Chief Medical Officer of SFHC. In November 2019, he became CEO. Some of Dr. Kraft's medical interests include ambulatory practice improvement and chronic disease management.
