Julia hails from the Big Woods of Minnesota and has called Colorado home for 13 years. She started her career as a certified professional midwife and clinical preceptor in a busy clinic in the Philippines. This period demonstrated the power of diversity and inclusion. Passionate about serving those without access to care, Julia graduated with a degree in Nursing from Colorado State University in Pueblo and began working as a registered nurse at Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center. She went on to earn a master's degree in nursing practice from Frontier Nursing University to become a Certified Nurse Midwife.
